Who can apply?
Youth attending schools in Ontario living in low-income households are invited to apply for funding.
What costs are covered by QSLA Foundation?
The grant covers registration fees of eligible programs.
The QSLA Foundation covers organized sports that meet the following criteria:
- Program/season runs for a minimum of 8 weeks
- Program must involve an academic component
How does QSLA Foundation determine eligibility?
QSLA Foundation considers the economic barriers preventing a child or youth’s participation in organized sport. Applications must be fully completed to be considered.
When to apply and how long does it take?
Applications should be submitted 60 days prior to sport start date. Once an application has been received, it will take a minimum of 5 weeks to be processed.
Application Approval Process:
Upon approval, funding for registration fees will be sent directly to the sport club/program with a letter identifying the QSLA Foundation grant recipient(s).
The parent or guardian will be notified by mail or e – mail.
