Middle School Girls Tournament – 2025

We hosted our second annual Girls Middle School Basketball Tournament featuring five Toronto public schools coming together for a full day of fun, competition, and community in a safe, welcoming environment downtown Toronto. The event was delivered by university students – recipients of our Foundation’s scholarships, made possible by cGaming and the Ricardo Keane Foundation.

Events like this matter. Across Canada, girls’ participation in sports drops sharply in middle school, and many never return. By creating supportive, exciting opportunities to play, we help build confidence, leadership, teamwork, and lifelong healthy habits. When girls stay in sports, they stay empowered.

This tournament was made possible through the support of our partners, including cGaming and Rama Gaming, whose contributions fund the scholarships and bursaries that empower university students to give back through community initiatives. Special thanks to Mr. Ricardo Keane for his ongoing commitment to connecting with schools and helping bring events like this to life, and to all the teachers and students whose energy and teamwork made the day a success.

We can’t wait to do it again – and make it even bigger and better next year.
